Letter to President Jahjaga: Proposal for Kosovo’s membership in OGP

Prishtina, July 26, 2012 – Today, Movement FOL sent a letter to the President, Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga, proposing for Kosovo’s membership in Open Government Partnership (OGP).
OGP is an international organization for promotion of open government. This initiative aims to provide concrete commitments by governments for transparency, strengthen active citizenship, in the fight against corruption and strengthen good governance of a country.

In this context, considering the low level of transparency in public institutions as one of the promoters of the high level of corruption in the country, Movement FOL requires President Jahjaga to accept this proposal and initiate Kosovo’s membership in this organization. FOL Movement expresses its readiness for cooperation and assistance in every phase of Kosovo’s membership in this organization.
