Governance at FOL

FOL Movement governed by its Statute which is based on the Law Nr. 03/L-134 on Freedom of Association in Non Governmental Organizations in the Republic of Kosovo. Members Assembly is the highest decision making authority. It consists of all members of the organization. The Assembly has the highest responsibility for policy and financial matters of the organization: selects the members of the Advisory Board, elects the Executive Director, approves the annual financial and narrative reports, and make take decision on any other acts deemed necessary for the functioning of the organization.

The Supervisory Board assists the organization in decision-making process and in drafting and implementing organization?s strategic plan. The Board also supervises the work of the Executive Director. The Board is represented and chaired by the Chairperson who is elected among the members Board. Board members cannot be members of the Assembly of Members or be employed in the organization. Members of the Board do not receive financial compensation for their services.

Executive Director is the manager and the official representative of the organization. Executive Director?s is elected from the Members Assembly for two (2) years mandate with the right for to re-appointment. Executive Director is elected by the members by a majority vote of members. The term of employment may cease: in case of death, resignation or removal from office and new director selection.
